The website redesign project for a network of universities offering exchange programs and a blog was a resounding success, resulting in a remarkable 200% increase in student sign-ups for exchange programs. Our focus was on improving this open platform, which provides opportunities for students and universities from across Europe to connect and engage.

Website Redesign & Branding
The Challenge
The challenge in this project was primarily to revive the outdated website design and visual identity of The Hague Network. The main task was to highlight the opportunities provided for students while also portraying the organisation's diverse activities and creating a unified website where each partnering university could participate.
The Solution
Tailor made branding that is engaging and resonate with our target audience, particularly university students. Our focus was on maintaining a professional tone while showcasing the dependable essence of the organisation. Additionally, we've designed a webpage that not only showcases the array of opportunities available to students but also offers seamless functionality, enabling them to instantly sign up for programs, access detailed information, and easily reach out point —something that was previously lacking in the old version of our website.
My Role
In this project, I had the crucial role of project manager. I took charge of all client communication, conducted engaging demos, and prioritised delivering a delightful experience for our clients throughout their collaboration with our team. Moreover, I served as the stabilising force within our internal operations, overseeing the planning, making the final calls on design and deadlines, and ensuring exceptional outcomes that not only met but exceeded client expectations.
The process
We adopted a modified version of the Waterfall methodology for this project. Our approach involved working on individual pages, progressing to development once each page design was completed and approved by the client. During the initial launch, we ensured that the four main pages were live and fully functional. Throughout user testing, we fine-tuned the design of certain interactive elements, such as forms and filters for exchange programs, to better align with user needs. Additionally, I closely monitored key metrics, particularly sign-up rates. The results were remarkable: while the old webpage averaged around 50 sign-ups per semester, the new design drove a significant increase, reaching up to 200 sign-ups per semester.
In summary, this project stands out as one of my favorites, thanks to its significant results which reflect the hard work of the entire team. I'm proud to have contributed to this successful story, and I'm confident that its impact will continue to evolve in the future.
